Decentralized SAP LES and Enhancements of the new Logistics Center

Increased growth in the business areas fluid and automotive paved the way of the new logistic center construction. The warehouse types planned were an automatic small parts storage including picking and packing areas, a manual pallet storage and a manual ground storage facility as transfer points and buffer areas.

Since VOSS has a broad SAP knowledge, SAP LES has been the optimal addition as the new warehouse management system. A decentral installation had been selected in order to stabilize the system performance and to ensure a permanent system availability. The SAP LES implementation has been entrusted to SALT Solutions. The intra-logistics specialist was not only responsible for the installation in the new building but also for the extension of LES functions beyond the standard.
