Process- and layout-oriented storage management
SAP EWM provides the option of modelling your goods receiving processes simply and flexibly to meet your business needs through standard customization. For this purpose, EWM (in contrast to LES) offers a process- and layout-oriented storage controller by which multi-level processes can be represented quite simply.

The customization in EWM enables the adding of upstream transportation, yard or unloading activities as well as downstream deconsolidation, packaging, counting and verification processes to the physical receipt of goods at any time.

Expected Receipt of Goods
Through the new EWM function "Expected  receipt of goods", receiving processes can be initiated entirely from the storage administration level.
