Processes in Goods Delivery

Processes in goods delivery represent the core of EWM.

Wave Management
By means of extensive wave management, storage requirements which are affected by temporal aspects can be combined in picking packets or waves. In contrast to LES, the waves are formed fully automatically by templates.

Packing algorithm
A packing number preliminary invoice considering weight and volume can be handled in the standard function of simple and complex packing algorithms.
Additional requirements, such as for example taking account of dangerous goods data in the packing piece calculation package, can be shown in a simple manner via pre-defined SAP starting points (BAdI's) - here SALT Solutions already offers a wide variety of upgradeable extensions.

Pick, pack and pass
With the standard customizing in SAP EWM, complex picking processes, such as picking and packing in a central shipping box at different work stations can be displayed in the warehouse order preparation by the pick, pack and pass function.

Production Supply
The EWM release 7.0 fully integrates the production supply by ERP. Additionally the production supply in EWM is consistently coupled with the production order in ERP - similar to the WM-PP interface in the central LES.

Additional logistics services (ALS)
Using EWM’s standard functions, the processing of products can be displayed with the component "additional logistical services (ALS)”. In contrast to LES, EWM offers the execution of the complete assembly, packaging, labeling and kitting (Kit-to-order) of products.

Special Picking Systems
SALT Solutions also offers upgradeable add-ons for  the connection of special picking systems, such as Pick-by-Voice (PbV) or Pick-by-Light (PbL).
