Material flow system (MFS)
The Material Flow System, as a fully integrated component in SAP EWM release 5.1,enables the material flow control of fully automated warehouses without the use of additional material flow computers.
For years, the TRM component facilitated the direct link to SAP LES by a REF adapter PLC. However, additional development is still required, while in EWM many of the necessary settings are implemented by a standard customization.
The customizing in SAP EWM, defined by parameter settings within the system, allows a simple and clear display of reporting points, conveyance segments, conveyance segment groups as well as resources, such as vehicles. For storage and retrieval devices, EWM MFS includes a strategy for reducing empty runs (duplicity).
EWM MFS also offers an extensive monitoring to the cable level as well as a comprehensive exception handling in order to automatically control error conditions, such as space-occupied situations.

AutoStore
AutoStoreAutoStore, the revolutionary warehouse system for the efficient storage and handling of small parts, received the award “Best Product” at the LogiMAT 2011.
AutoStore can easily be integrated into the logistics of customers which already administrate various warehouse systems.
The AM-Automation provides the AutoStore, while SALT Solutions offers the direct linkage to SAP EWM.
EWM manages the Auto-Store- warehouse without additional subsystems and will be expanded by the Add-On “Work Center Dialog” only.
This warehouse system accelerates the internal logistics, adjusts to the structural conditions and occupies the available warehouse space more efficiently than previously known solutions.
