Storage capacity planning by KapaPlan

Successful logisticians have to be flexible and proactive. However, production logisticians and service providers operating locally distributed storage capacities oftentimes plan their storage quantities on call or according to their best knowledge. Tools, offering a clear view upon future storage capacity occupancies and their correlating load and costs, while facing a constantly fluctuant required quantity, have not been available so far.

„KapaPlan“ , a SALT Solution Application offers a novel assistance system which supports the demand forecast, the strategic storage planning and the cost analysis of occupancy-scenarios. KapaPlan, the cooperative research project solution of  LogistikPlan GmbH and SALT Solutions offers:

  • Comprehensive order forecast
  • Capacity profiles
  • Planning of distributed storage capacities and complex item structures
  • Simulation and controlling of load peaks

KapaPlan provides an extensive support for logistics planners. Defined advantages are within the possibility to quickly create and shape planning scenarios without a system intervention.
